Ecommpay has unveiled a complimentary Accessibility Pack aimed at helping eCommerce merchants improve the accessibility of their websites and services, supporting a more inclusive online environment. The company highlights that accessible websites can attract up to 24% more traffic, underlining the commercial advantages of prioritizing inclusivity.
The pack, part of Ecommpay’s broader inclusivity initiative “Ecommpay for Good,” offers essential guidelines, practical advice, and tailored training resources suitable for businesses of all sizes and familiarity with accessibility standards.
Miranda McLean, Ecommpay’s Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized the importance of incremental changes: “Even small, thoughtful changes can make a profound difference.” The pack shares Ecommpay’s own insights to empower merchants in taking confident first steps toward accessibility.
Included resources cover the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, practical website tips developed with the Digital Accessibility Centre, free training courses from HSBC Innovation Banking, and an audit checklist by disability advocate Cressida Stephenson. It also offers the Eden Chase Inclusive Hiring Toolkit to help improve recruitment and retention of neurodivergent and disabled employees.
Additionally, the pack features updates from the Lending Standards Board on financial accessibility for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.
Ecommpay’s Accessibility Pack aims to guide businesses in adapting to diverse customer needs and advancing eCommerce inclusivity.
