How AI Is Transforming The Luxury Sector: Insights from Viva Tech, LVMH, L’Oréal, and Meta

Artificial intelligence is increasingly driving innovation within the luxury industry, refining customer experiences through hyper-personalized services and streamlining content production. This was highlighted at the 2025 LVMH Innovation Award event during the Viva Tech conference in Paris, where the group celebrated its partnerships with emerging tech startups focused on delivering measurable business impact.

The Best Business Award was presented to U.S.-based Kahoona for its work with Dior. Kahoona’s AI-powered platform enhances customer engagement by analyzing anonymized visitor data in real time, allowing Dior to deliver highly targeted and optimized shopping experiences.

Additionally, L’Oréal revealed the expansion of its collaboration with Meta, announcing that its AI-driven Beauty Genius assistant will soon be available on WhatsApp. This move aims to extend personalized beauty advice through the world's most widely used messaging platform.

AI’s role in content creation was underscored with the Most Promising Award granted to OMI, which partners with Guerlain to utilize 3D AI technology for faster, cost-effective production of premium visuals. L’Oréal also announced a partnership with NVIDIA to harness AI capabilities for accelerated 3D product rendering and tailored marketing efforts.

Louis Vuitton introduced a new AI content generation tool developed with Parisian studio Ok C’est Cool, utilizing LoRA adaptation to replicate precise brand details and produce numerous high-fidelity images quickly, while ensuring data sovereignty. Other LVMH brands demonstrated AI-driven advancements in 3D scanning, creative content, and maintaining brand voice integrity.

The sustainability-focused Best Impact Prize went to French startup Genesis for its collaboration with Moët Hennessy on a digital tool that monitors and improves soil health, showcasing LVMH’s dedication to sustainable innovation.

These developments illustrate AI’s growing importance in luxury, combining tradition and technology to enhance both craftsmanship and customer connection.
