Nike Inc., known for its iconic “Just Do It” slogan, has yet to release products from its much-anticipated NikeSkims collaboration, stirring unease among investors and consumers.

The partnership between Nike and Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand Skims was slated for a spring 2025 debut but has been delayed indefinitely, with a global rollout now expected in 2026.

This joint venture aims to combine Nike’s performance innovation with Kardashian’s influential reach to reinvigorate Nike’s women’s segment and connect with younger, culturally savvy audiences like Gen Z. Despite ambitious claims to “disrupt the fitness and activewear industry,” specifics on the product lineup and launch timeline remain unclear.

Nike CEO Elliott Hill, who returned to steer a sales rebound, had promised a full NikeSkims collection by May. That deadline has passed without any product availability, leading to a roughly 5% drop in Nike shares amid growing concerns.

The company has formed a dedicated team from both Nike and Skims to develop footwear, apparel, and accessories under the brand. However, NikeSkims now faces fierce competition from specialist players like Gymshark and On in an increasingly crowded market.

At present, the reasons behind Nike’s initial launch optimism and subsequent delay remain opaque, leaving stakeholders eager for clarity.
