Pinterest Launches Direct Affiliate Integration with LTK to Enhance Creator Monetization

Pinterest has announced a new partnership with affiliate marketing platform LTK, introducing direct affiliate links on its platform for the first time. This development enables U.S.-based creators associated with LTK to tag products within their Pins, offering users a seamless shopping experience and providing creators with an additional revenue stream.

Under this integration, creators can link to products from brands they already collaborate with on LTK, including major retailers such as Abercrombie, Walmart, and Urban Outfitters. Purchases made through these affiliate links generate commissions for creators, with all tracking and payment management handled exclusively by LTK. Pinterest has confirmed that it will not take a commission from creators’ affiliate earnings.

The rollout reflects Pinterest’s strategic shift toward becoming a more commerce-oriented platform. Over the past year, the company has implemented a range of shopping-related features, including product tagging, in-app checkout for select merchants, and AI-powered recommendations designed to facilitate purchases within the platform.

Currently, this affiliate integration is available only to creators in the United States using LTK, with no immediate plans announced to expand to other affiliate networks or international markets.

This partnership represents a significant opportunity for lifestyle influencers and creators to monetize their Pinterest presence more effectively, leveraging the platform’s expanding e-commerce capabilities.
